Creating Your Sacred Space
Once you begin to meditate and seek your inner space, creating a sacred space for yourself becomes important. It is possible to find traditions from around the world to assist us in this journey. After 20 years of personal practice, we have evolved a few ways that provide us with ritual and understanding. This series provides some ideas of how to use ritual to practice in sacred space.
During the six sessions, you will learn:
- How to clear and cleanse space
- How to open personal sacred space
- How to open a sacred circle
- How to call in the directions
- The sacred elements that connect to circle
- The directions and how to honor them
- How to call your guides and other protectors
- How to set Sacred Fire
- How to practice the Fire Ceremony
This class is intended to allow students to have a place to begin in discovering their own inner teachings. We can all connect to ancestry that has honored Mother Earth with ritual.

The trails, meditation benches and the Sacred Circle here at The Dojo are open to you during this session of classes. You are invited to spend time in solitude and let Mother Nature speak to you.
Note from Lorie Saito: "One of the many blessings that I am grateful for is the 15 years we spent 'unschooling' our girls. During that time, we explored all kinds of cultures, places and people as the girls became interested in different parts of the world. It became a habit of mine to spend a bit of private time looking at the use of circle in each of the cultures we explored. I have been fascinated my whole life by our ability to create a private haven of personal space with ritual and visualization. We have an innate desire to create a sacred space for ourselves and our ancestry will provide each of us with memories of how to do it. This class is a perfect place to start the remembering."
Create and Maintain your space
This first module of the series is offered as a stand alone session. You can learn the basics of how to clear old and stale energy, create boundaries and protect your sacred space. From many traditions around the worldl, we'll share with you some of the practices that have come into our world in the past few decades of study. Three hours.

Monthly Fire Circles
The circle runs only during the summer so that we can connect with the Mother Earth outside. Throughout the year we have monthly Fire Ceremony celebrations to allow everyone to connect again. We make every attempt to schedule the circle as close to the New Moon as possible. All graduates are welcome to attend this circle. Watch the calendar for more info.
